Hi, I'm Louise.
I moved to Cyprus with my family in August 2004, after years of feeling the pull towards life overseas. At the time, I was working in estate agency in Yorkshire, juggling family life, work, and more rainy summer days than I cared for.
I still remember my son, nose pressed to the window, desperate to get outside while the rain poured down. Not long afterwards, I watched both my children flourish in Cyprus, where school finished early and afternoons were filled with swimming, beach picnics, forest walks and sunshine.
Around ten months after arriving, I was driving through Peyia village when I had a sudden and overwhelming feeling,
"These streets know me now."
That was the moment Cyprus truly felt home.
How Destination Cyprus Evolved
Over the years, guests, friends and clients would often ask me the same questions.
Which area should I stay in?
What is life really like in Cyprus?
Where should I start?
Who can I trust?
As those conversations grew, so did the idea for Live Destination Cyprus.
What began with welcoming holiday guests gradually evolved into helping people discover the island more deeply, whether they were visiting for a week, considering a property purchase, planning a permanent move or simply exploring what a different way of life might look like.
Today, Live Destination Cyprus brings together everything I've learned from more than two decades of living, working and raising a family here.
Who I Help
Over the years I've helped all sorts of people find their way to Cyprus. Families chasing a safer, sunnier life for their children. Retirees ready for a slower pace. Solo women stepping into a brave new chapter. Investors who just want someone to give it to them straight before they commit.
What they all have in common is this: they know they want something more, they're just not always sure of the practical steps, the risks, or where to even start. That's where I come in.
Whatever brings you here, my role is to help you experience the island with confidence, connect with people you can trust, and ask the right questions before you make any big decisions.
I believe the best decisions are rarely rushed. They happen when people feel informed, comfortable, and clear about what matters most to them.
That the dream and the paperwork are two very different things, and you need a plan for both.
That the people who settle in happily are usually the ones who ask questions early, not the ones who move the fastest.
That trust matters more than glossy photos, especially when you're buying, renting or relocating somewhere still unfamiliar to you.
That community and connection matter just as much as sunshine and the right property, when it comes to being happy, so consider how you can naturally integrate into that area.
That settling in takes time, and everyone finds their own pace. You'll always miss the people close to your heart but here, you build a life worth inviting them into, full of new memories and time spent together.
That setbacks and wrong turns are rarely the end of the story. They're usually just part of finding your way.
Most importantly, that people rarely need someone to tell them what to do. They need someone to listen, share honest insight, and help them find their own answer.
A Few Things I've Learned Along the Way
A Personal Note
Cyprus can be an extraordinary place to live, invest and build a new chapter, but I politely advise people not to leave their brain on the plane.
The dream matters, but so do the details.
Location, legal checks, exit strategy, rental potential, schools, lifestyle, community and timing, all matter more than people realise at the beginning.
I know how wonderful Cyprus can be, but I also know what it feels like to be stuck in the wrong structure, the wrong loan, or the wrong decision. That is why I care so much about helping people get it right from the start. Slowly, carefully, with warmth, honesty and a very clear plan.
